My third baby recently turned one about a month ago. Where does the time go?! After having three kids, I’ve discovered a few favorite baby items I just can’t live without, and I thought I’d share them with you today. I love all of these because of their quality, timelessness, and how they blend into my home and clothing style. Truth be told, I’m working on being more minimalistic and investing in quality rather than quantity. All of these items fit those goals, and I hope they fit yours, too!
Please Note: Nothing here is sponsored, just products and brands I truly love.
I love bonnets on little ones—both boys and girls! When dressing my babies, I want them to look like, well, babies. Hipcheeks bonnets are handmade from pre-loved materials. And because they’re made out of recycled fabrics, each print has a limited quantity available. It’s so fun to follow this account on Instagram to see which new prints come out each season. The bonnets are reversible, which means twice as much love for each bonnet. The owner also helps you turn a sentimental article of clothing or a print you love into a bonnet. Plus, I love supporting moms finding time for their passions while raising little ones!
Spoiler Alert: The first year of having your baby involves a lot of diaper changes. Middle-of-the-night diaper changes became way easier after I discovered Magnetic Me. Instead of snaps, they use magnets for fasteners, so it’s super easy to dress baby. Bonus: The fabrics are so incredibly soft and there are a lot of fun prints, too!
I’ve always loved beautiful woven bassinets. Lucky for me, I was gifted one for our third baby. It’s a major improvement from the pack-n-play in our room. Grace slept in it up until we moved her out of our room and into a crib. I’d also take the basket downstairs to lay her in (and even on a few trips, too!). A lot of baby items can be an eyesore, but this bassinet adds to the decor of any room. It’s an item that can easily become a family heirloom, and I envision it being passed down to siblings and maybe even my own children.
It’s also important to have something for Mom. We can’t forget about us! I love my Dwell and Slumber nightgown (their site calls them “modern house dresses” which sounds way cooler). They’re super comfortable and versatile. I wear it to bed, around the house, out of the house, wherever! Even better? They’re nursing-friendly and pregnancy-friendly.
If you know me, you know I don’t like baby things taking over my house. Well, I also don’t like them taking over my wardrobe. I love my WildBird ring sling because it’s a fashion accessory for me that also allows me to hold my baby, hands-free. I’ve tried many types of baby carriers over the years, and this one is definitely my favorite. It’s quick and easy to take on and off, looks great, and I feel close and connected to my baby. I’ve used it with a newborn and still continue to wear it for Grace, who’s now 13 months.
So, there you have it! I hope you enjoy these items as much as I do. Each product is unique, beautiful, versatile and stylish—making them the perfect minimalist choice for your on-the-go lifestyle.
